Before calling or assuming your entire system is broken, our 35+ years of experience has taught us that simple checks can often save you time and money.
Bi-Annual Hardware Lubrication
Be sure to lubricate your rollers and all hardware at least twice a year.
Clear Track Obstructions
Make sure to keep brooms, rakes, shovels, or any other objects out of the way of the tracks. If something falls into the way of the rollers or door during motion, it could cause serious issues or require a new door.
Full Lift Clearance Verification
Always be certain that your door has fully lifted before moving your vehicle out of your garage.
Remote & Keypad Battery Check
If you experience a weak remote signal, or it doesn't work at all, try replacing the battery first. This applies to your exterior keypad as well.
Motor Power & GFI Outlet Tripping
If your motor isn't working at all and not even the light comes on, plug something else into that outlet to test power. You could have a tripped GFI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet reset button, especially after a Georgia thunderstorm.
